JSON Minifier

Remove unnecessary JSON whitespace to produce a compact payload ready for APIs and configuration files.

Common questions

What is the difference between minified and formatted JSON?

Minified JSON removes all unnecessary whitespace, line breaks and indentation, producing the smallest possible representation. Formatted JSON adds indentation and line breaks for readability. Both contain exactly the same data.

Will minification change my data?

No. Minification only removes whitespace that is not inside string values. Your keys, values, numbers, booleans and null values remain identical. The output is valid JSON that parses to the same object.

Why would I minify JSON?

Smaller payloads transfer faster over networks and take less storage space. Minified JSON is standard practice for API responses, configuration files and any context where file size matters.
